Thank you for helping us build One Home for Equitable Care
Damien Center has raised more than $4.5 million in capital funds for our new, state-of-the art headquarters adjacent to our current building at 26 N. Arsenal Ave.
This surpasses our initial campaign goal of $4 million, and we are incredibly grateful to all the donors, volunteers, clients, staff, and community members who have contributed to make it possible.
Damien’s new Mosaic Building will be the first purpose-built facility for people impacted by HIV in the state of Indiana, allowing Damien Center clients to access services in a beautiful space that will uphold their dignity and safety.
The Mosaic Building is named for the massive, community-driven mosaic around its central elevator. More than 3,500 people joined together with artists from Empact Art to create this mosaic, which honors the legacy - historic and ongoing - of people living with HIV in central Indiana. Learn more about the mosaic.
We have a path to provide equitable healthcare to marginalized people in our community and end new HIV infections. But health risks continue, and disparities have worsened in recent years, so places like this are increasingly important.
What’s next? The Damien campus continues to expand: learn more.
“Everybody can come over here and get all of the services they need with all of the people that can receive them with love and care”
Michelle Harris, Client & Community Volunteer

“You don’t have to go to a million places in order to get what you need for HIV and AIDS. You do not have to tell your story over and over again. People help, they do not judge. It’s really easy to get into services, you won’t go hungry, and you will make new friends.”
