One Home for Equitable Care
Because of the new and expanded programs at Damien Center, our staff has more than doubled and we have outgrown our current space. The One Home campaign will complete a new building to maintain and expand Damien Center’s one-stop shop model of client-centered, comprehensive services.
We have a path to provide equitable healthcare to marginalized people in our community and end new HIV infections. But health risks continue, and disparities have worsened during the COVID-19 pandemic. Public health is a community-wide issue.
Damien Center has a proven track record of successful outcomes as well as deep relationships and partnerships to coordinate services with other nonprofit agencies and with the public and health care sectors.
The One Home campaign goal is $4 million to enable the completion of a new building, space for new services, and expansion among new populations.
“Everybody can come over here and get all of the services they need with all of the people that can receive them with love and care”
Michelle Harris, Client & Community Volunteer
“You don’t have to go to a million places in order to get what you need for HIV and AIDS. You do not have to tell your story over and over again. People help, they do not judge. It’s really easy to get into services, you won’t go hungry, and you will make new friends.”
